About The Program

The Tutoring/Mentoring Program provides a safe and constructive after-school environment to youth in grades 1-8 from South Tucson and Pima County.  Children will receive academic assistance, English Language Learner tutoring (ELL), computer technology, structured recreational activities, and arts and crafts.

The tutoring/mentoring program provides remedial instruction in reading, writing, math, and literature. The ELL component will assist students who are limited English speakers improve their self-esteem and reduce language barriers. 

The recreation component offers activities in competitive sports, intramural games, and tournaments. The Intel Computer Clubhouse Program provides youth an opportunity to explore their own interests and become confident learners using technology. 

The arts and crafts program will challenge participants to think socially and to develop positive leisure time, creativity and imagination.
