Crew Member - Housing

With direction from the Crew Leader, works as part of a team inperforming all phases of home rehabilitation and new construction.

  • Works with assigned Crew Leader and other crew members to accomplish work as specified.
  • Participates in all training sessions.
  • Assists with timely delivery of materials to job sites as needed.
  • With direction from the Crew Leader, performs a variety of general home and energy-conserving repairs and/or construction, including but not limited to: framing/finish carpentry, drywall, plastering, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling unit repairs/replacements, door/window repairs/replacements, roof repairs, painting, masonry.
  • Other duties as required to ensure a complete professional job.

Program Support Specialist

  1. Intake Support

 (Assigned duties will include but not limited to the following):

  • Conduct 425 Intakes annually for WIA program
  • Maintain an intake log for monthly reports
  • Administer Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and other assessments tests.
  • Determine as applicant’s eligibility based on the guidelines established by the funding source.
  • Copy the intake information into a participant file and forward the file to the workforce development specialist (WDS)
  • When appropriate, refer participants to the One Stop’s Workforce Investment Act Partner agencies for additional services.
  • Enter all intake information into the Virtual One Stop System database (VOS) or other database and forward copies of the intake documents per One Stop routing protocols.

B. Receptionist    

  • Answer phones, forward calls to appropriate staff and take detailed messages
  • Schedule WIA intake appointments
  • Provide information and refer clients to support services
  • Refer walk-in traffic to appropriate staff.
  • Prepare the recording on the intake appointment schedule and the Participant Tracking System.

Case Manager

Input client data; conduct data queries in order to develop and provide reports pertaining to client services; conduct file audits and other forms of quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with all contracts; process case management application and  interview, counsel and assist low income and disadvantaged applicants, develop case management plans, determine program eligibility, and refer to appropriate services as applicable. This position serves as team leader in the absence of the Facilitator.

    • Maintain client data base and keep it current
    • Develop and provide reports pertaining to client services
    • Conduct file audits and other forms of quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with call Case Management contracts
    • Interview and counsel low income and disadvantage applicants.
    • Develop and maintain clients case management plans.
    • Establish client eligibility for all programs.
    • Counsel clients in budget preparation, home management, energy conservation and other utility assistance, including follow-up.
    • Develop and maintains client files.
    • Advocate with responsible parties for resolution of clients’ problems.
    • Conduct inquiries to determine resources available for client problem resolution.
    • Coordinate services with other appropriate services.

    Life Skills & Employability Skills Instructor

    Under the supervision of the Prevention and Intervention Facilitator this employee teaches a life skills curriculum to 13-17 year old clients who are enrolled in the Prevention-Academic Technology (PAT) program.  Coordinates/facilitates employability skills workshops.  All participants are on Juvenile Intensive Probation Supervision (JIPS).  May involve transportation of participants in a Tucson Urban League van

    • Implement and teach a life skills curriculum that focuses on improving participants personal development skills to include: problem solving/decision making skills, anger management, communication skills, conflict resolution, and drug and alcohol abuse prevention.  Administer pre and post tests.
    • Implement and facilitate employability skills training.  Activities include but are not limited to: assessments, career goals/planning, labor market information, interviewing skills, resume preparation and job retention.  Administer pre and post tests.
    • Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
