Paid Sick Leave

This proposal created by Tucson Council member Regina Romero would require businesses to give workers one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. Employees would have the ability to use their sick time after 90 days of employments and could use up to 40 hours a year at small businesses with a staff less than 10 people. This could also occur up to 56 hours per year at a larger business. Businesses would not require workers to find someone to cover their shift while using sick time.
